Filmmaker/Developer:  Van Phan

While making the experience, Van explored the embodiment by guiding the player to twist and spin around to advance the story. The use of body movement/body track was explored to support the narrative arc of the experience. Also, exaggeration in scale and time will help make the participant emphasize the psychological state. Furthermore, shifts in POV were explored to support the narrative and highlight key pivotal moments. The participant's proximity to the characters also helps reinforce the characters' psychological state. Sound and music will keep the record, guiding the viewer's attention and helping describe the space. Van is honored to have the opportunity to share Beat Bully as he hopes it will make people feel, think, and possibly take action in new ways for a worthy cause while advancing a new medium.
